Amazing First Month!

All I can say is that I'm blown away by everything that has happened in the last month. Since the release of "How Maxwell Grover Stole My House" on March 13th, almost 300 copies (paid and promotional) have made their way around the world and into the hands of eager readers. Japan is still quite interested in this story (yay!) and I had my first download from India over the weekend.

However, the accomplishment that I am the proudest of came yesterday when I was informed that my little story about a boy and his mean old neighbor is being used to help tutor kids in California. As a child, reading was my escape and my window into worlds of make-believe and dreams. All I have ever wanted is to share that magic with others, especially children. Hearing the news that this book is helping to foster a love of reading in children who are struggling literally brought tears to my eyes. So here's a shout-out to Mr. Jose and his students. Keep up the good work! I wrote this book for readers like you, so I hope that you love it!

In case you are interested, here's a map that shows all of the countries where people have bought or downloaded copies of "How Maxwell Grover Stole My House". It's so exciting to see how far it has gotten. The success of this book is due to all of you who have read it and shared it with others. I know I have been thanking you a lot lately, but I give credit where credit is due. So thanks again! If the first month has been this exciting, I'm eager to see where it all goes from here!
